The annual Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers' Association (FAOPMA) 2015 was held recently from 2-3rd September 2015 at the Hotel Equatorial Penang, Malaysia. Bayer Co. (M) Sdn Bhd, represented by the Environmental Science division had the privilege of being invited to play a part, and was one of the Bronze Sponsors of this conference.
The theme of the convention is: “Managing Invasive Pests for a Sustainable Tomorrow” – a platform to establish a structured approach and better understanding on how we can take the appropriate action against invasive pest species.
The conference was attended by up to 300 individuals globally from various industries including pest management professionals, government agencies, academicians in the field of entomology, as well as officers from food safety, public health, and also property and building industries. Participants at the conference were given updates on the latest research findings, updates on the latest available technologies and also recent trends in market dynamics relevant to the pest management industry. In addition, industry experts also provided insights in business management strategies.
The team from Environmental Science took the opportunity to share with attendees on promoting a healthier and more hygienic environment with Bayer Pest Solutions. Informative product brochures that recommend usage of Bayer solutions in construction sites, food and beverage outlets, hospitality industry and residential community were distributed at our specially-designed booth. Additionally, Environmental Science also demonstrated the new program, Bayer Learning Lab, which is the first comprehensive online training platform that equips pest management professionals with the right knowledge, skills and techniques to succeed in the pest management industry.
The next FAOPMA Conference 2016 will be held at Sea World Resort, Australia from 14-16th September 2016. We look forward to see you there!
