Kuala Lumpur, 8 May 2017 – Entomology and Pest 2017 seminar was held on the 4th May 2017 at the Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur with the theme of “Memperkasa Teknologi Entomologi dan Pest”, that means to empower the technology of entomology and pest. It was mainly organized by the Persatuan Entomologi Kesihatan Awam Malaysia (PEKA) in a joint collaboration with Allied Health Sciences Division (BSKB) and Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM).
During the seminar, fellow industry experts and key opinion leaders shared their knowledge, expertise, experiences and views towards the field of entomology and integrated pest management control.
The guest of honor in this event, Datuk Dr. Lokman Hakim bin Sulaiman, Deputy Chairman of Public Health urged all the entomologists in districts, states, institutions and ministries that should look ahead and start building from now to foster the entomology and pest field that can be stay on par with other fields that have long existed in the Health Ministry.
